How visitor meetings work
As a participant in the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, you will receive two individual meetings with visitors. Editors, publishers, literary agents, and theater professionals meet with participants for twenty minutes.
Some visitors may ask you to provide a sample of your work in advance to discuss during your meeting, while others may not.
In all cases, we strongly encourage participants to not approach meetings with the expectation to be published, represented, or produced, but as informational sessions to get feedback on your project and learn from and make connections with professionals.
All visitors spend two nights at the conference, so there is also plenty of built-in time to socialize and make acquaintances outside of scheduled meetings as well.
