Poet Tiana Clark will give a reading hosted by the Sewanee Review and The Mountain Goat, Sewanee's student magazine, on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7PM. The event will be held at the Watson House (South Carolina Avenue behind the Student Union Theatre).
Tiana Clark is the author of Equilibrium, winner of the 2016 Frost Place Chapbook Competition sponsored by Bull City Press. Clark was a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the 2016 Sewanee Writers' Conference and will be on the Sewanee Young Writers' Conference faculty summer 2017. She has recently been awarded funding from the Nashville Metropolitan Arts Commission for her community project, Writing as Resistance, which provides creative writing workshops for trans youth. Clark has taught various creative writing workshops for the Porch Writer’s Collective and is an MFA candidate at Vanderbilt. Her writing has appeared in or is forthcoming from Sewanee Review, Rattle, Best New Poets of 2015, Crab Orchard Review, Southern Indiana Review, and many more.
