From July 19-31, 2022, the University of the South will host the thirty-second annual session of the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. Supported by the Walter E. Dakin Memorial Fund established through the estate of Tennessee Williams, the Conference gathers promising writers and provides instruction and criticism through workshops and craft lectures in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and playwriting.
Although workshops are limited to Conference participants, lectures and readings are open to the public and free to attend. These events will be held in Guerry Auditorium on the corner of University Avenue and Georgia Avenue on the campus of the University of the South. Masking is required at these events.
The schedule of lectures and readings is subject to change without advance notice. Any revisions will be posted online at www.sewaneewriters.org.
